How long does it take to print something in 3D?

Printing time depends on the settings the .Gcode file is associated with. Small sized, medium quality settings, for example a checkers chip printed at 200 microns/layer can take up to 10 – 20 minutes. Larger objects with the same quality settings can even take several hours to print; if you print the same large object but set the layer height at, let’s say, 50 microns/layer with the smallest nozzle, the print could take up to a day.  many other factors can determine the total print time, settings like: extruder movement speed, object infill, supports for the print, or even rafts.  In the end, you just have to decide what kind of print best fits your needs, a quick prototype model to get an idea of something, or a detailed piece of art.
