- Create new override with the button on the bottom of the slicer configuration panel.
- Set the override condition to the #0 Layer (clog icon)
- From the binding manager select the "height adjust" parameter (chain icon)
- Set it to your desired value
You can set override to any Height, Thickness, and Area Type.
You can select more bindings like "Feedrate", "Fan", or even temperature overrides for the first layer too.

András

This is not working for me, I have followed the instructions but when I enter a + or - figure but the model does not move.
I notice there is a raft occurring on all my sliced files, regardless of filament type chosen. This has only occurred after adjusting z height and now gets generated each time regardless of z height, skirt or brim on (I am unable to adjust anything to get it removed). I have attached screenshots.

Raft is a set of several overrides+bindings, for now hidden from the user interface, because they are a bit confusing.
We'd like to create a separate "Raft editor" to adjust these parameters in the background while showing a nice user interface to it.Until then there is only the "default raft setting" available, which you can enable/disable with a not-so-convenient parameter.
In the "Base Parameters" section there is a single "Enabled" togglebutton. That is the Raft on/off switch. (Yeah, I know...)So sorry that it is like that for now.
"This is not working for me, I have followed the instructions but when I enter a + or - figure but the model does not move."
Hmm. Did you mean by "Z height adjustment setting" adjusting the whole object in Z?
What András wrote down literally only adjusts the first layer of the GCode in Z direction.
If you would like to adjust the whole object in Z, then don't create a new override, but set the "Height adjust" in the "Base Parameters":
- Click on the "chain in a black circle" icon next to "Base Parameters".
- In the popup, search for "adjust", and select it.
- Close the popup, and open the "Base Parameters" section. You will see that "Height adjust" will be available there.
- Set it to for example 1.0 to have an 1mm adjustment. Please note that the parameters are evaluated during slice, so you won't see the model moving in Z direction on the Manufacturing page, because the slicer parameters will only affect the generated GCode.
So, after you slice the object, the GCode will be 1mm above the bed.

Norbert

The model itself shouldn't move. Only the first layer of the gcode.
You can use the "Height Adjust" parameter everywhere:
- Under the "Base Parameters" Override: it sets off the whole gcode. This way you can elevate the whole Gcode
- With the Area type overrides: you can adjust a particular area type like infill or shell. It has no practical use case that I can think of right now, but it is possible 🙂
- The "Layer Index" and "Layer Range" Conditions address a layer or height range, so the adjustment's scope will be that. (see attachments)
- We even use it under the hood to lift the gcode on the top of the Raft.
The switch for the raft is well hidden, and due a missing description, it is impossible to identify. it is under the Base Parameters-->Enable. (see attachment)
If everything goes rough, you can use the Settings-->"Reset all settings to defaults" to revert to factory settings. Sadly it erases all your modifications and tweaks, so I hope it is not necessary to use.
Best Regards,
András
