Support block Z-Axis
Quote from Johan Dirks on 2025-07-29, 09:46I recently bought a second-hand IDEX Flow printer, and I noticed that the Z-axis is not supported at the bottom. While printing, the Z-axis tends to wobble. It’s hard for me to judge whether this affects the print quality, but I’m wondering if there should be some kind of plastic guide between the sheet metal part to stabilize it.
Is this normal for this model, or am I missing a part?

Quote from Isla Paling on 2025-08-01, 04:42I had a similar experience with a second-hand 3D printer where the Z-axis lacked proper support, causing some wobbling during prints. It was tricky at first because I wasn’t sure if it would affect the final quality, but after adding a small plastic guide between the metal parts, stability improved significantly. This helped reduce layer inconsistencies and gave better print results. From what I gathered, some models do come without that extra support by default, so adding a guide can be a practical fix. By the way, after a long print session, I often unwind by playing Sprunki - great way to relax and recharge.
