Second nozzle heats up for no reason
Quote from Gerald Rodriguez on 2021-11-09, 18:40I have an IDEX XL. I am trying to use the new craftware pro slicer. When I want to print with a single nozzle the Second nozzle heats up for no reason. In the tree I have selected (Head#1) for the part and the supports. In the old software you could just "select" which head you wanted to use/heat up.
Also in the "printing mode" dropdown menu there is an option called "Default" I don't know what that means.
Please help

There could be a number of reasons for the second head to heat up. With CraftWare Pro it is possible to assign different heads to any object, strategy, segment/area types or even different parts of the object.
Can we examine the gcode, so we can rule out the printer?
Is there any chance that you can send your project file too? If copyright reasons prohibits it, please change the object(s) to a factory primitive.

Quote from Craftware Team on 2021-11-10, 21:19Examining this G-Code, there is no command there to heat up the second head. No headchange and/or special mode selected for it.
Is it possible that you set up some special mode manually via the printer's HMI (manual heating, temperature settings, parallel/mirror/backup or other mode).
"printing mode" as "Default" is the normal operation of the Idex printer (no parallel, mirror, backup mode). So the printer can accept the tool change commands from the Gcode.
From the screenshot you sent, I had to notice that you selected a different strategy for the support and for the object. It is not the most practical way to create supports, you will get better results if both support and object utilizes the same strategy.
Best Regards,
András
