Printing Segments Not Showing
Quote from Michael Bailey on 2022-11-23, 21:47After slicing (CraftWare Pro v1.2.0.523 Beta), the segments are not being shown as I scroll through the layers and movements. Only shows a light green top and shows the "nozzle" moving without showing what it is printing at that time (Perimeter, Loop, Shell, Infill, Bridge, Skirt). I have turned on and off the various icon sets for Display, Info Panels, and Coloring without success, just get a solid light green top at the object layer. How do you show the segments being printed?

A proper GCode view should look like this:
To investigate this problem let me ask you a few questions:
- Have you seen GCode earlier in the CraftWare Pro, or it is the behavior from the first start?
- Is it only this particular GCode or every GCode?
- Is it an imported Gcode, or sliced one?
- Can you see anything if you turn off the "Model Outline" and "Top layer only" view modes? For the sake of easier investigation, please turn them off.
- Can you give me more info about the Gcode Display settings?
- High-Quality shader, or legacy one?
- Coloring style?
- Display settings?
- Can I have details about your GPU and graphics driver?
Best Regards,
András

- Have you seen GCode earlier in the CraftWare Pro, or it is the behavior from the first start?
- Behavior from the start. uninstalled and reinstalled.
- Is it only this particular GCode or every GCode?
- Every STL sliced on the software.
- Is it an imported Gcode, or sliced one?
- sliced
- Can you see anything if you turn off the "Model Outline" and "Top layer only" view modes? For the sake of easier investigation, please turn them off.
- Nothing is shown if those are turned off.
- Can you give me more info about the Gcode Display settings?
- High-Quality shader, or legacy one?
- Turned off "Use HQ g-code shaders" and the segments are now being shown.
- Coloring style?
- Segment Type
- Display settings?
- show travels
- Can I have details about your GPU and graphics driver?
- AMD PowerColor Liquid Devil RX6900 XT Ultimate (x 2); 10.0.12027.7000
- Alienware AW3420DW Monitors (x2); A00-00_DRVR_FHJ66
So HQ shader was the issue. Why would that flood the segments to not show anything?

Quote from Craftware Team on 2022-12-05, 10:32Wow,
Nice HW specs 🙂
That picture is strange 🙂 Even the legacy shader shouldn't look that way. It seems that the depth buffer switched places with a color buffer.
It has to be some driver issue.
- If you have integrated GPU, can you forcibly assign that to the CraftWare Pro and try again?
- please update your OpenGL driver to the most recent one
If none of this solves your problem, please try to use the legacy shader in this state, and we will try to reproduce this and investigate the root cause. (Sometimes some drivers of some newer cards do not behave the same as earlier ones in the case of OpenGL extensions that the CraftWare Pro uses - we have to handle these and ensure that it works in every case)
