Newbie: IDEX XL: edges of print curling up; can't get parallel print to work
Quote from Jonathan Barraclough on 2021-12-05, 00:29Hi Everyone,
I'm new, just got the printer. On my first print of a lid for a simple box, the edges and corners of the lid were curled up when finished (overheated??). Using PLA. Also, using Craftware Pro, when trying to use the Parallel Print feature all it does is gray out half the print bed area. It doesn't create a new instance of the object nor assign the other printhead anything to do. Same thing when I try Mirror. So I use Dual and assign each identical object, moved to opposite sides of the print bed, a different print head. But now the print takes twice as long. No time savings as Parallel and Mirror were supposed to offer. Any experts out there? 🙂
Thanks,
Jonathan

Yes, the Parallel and Mirror modes are something the printer is taking care of.
CraftWare Pro only generates the GCode for one head, and the printer will copy the movement to the other head. You can even slice something "normally" in Default mode, and then select Parallel or Mirror mode on the printer's LCD screen to print it in those modes if you wish and there is enough space for it.
Later on there will be visualization in CraftWare Pro for this for clarification.

Norbert
