Introduction

Before doing anything fancy in CraftWare Pro, a proper environment must be set up. CraftWare Pro has a built-in startup configuration wizard to guide you through this process. The startup configurator will be launched the first time you use the application.

Add printer

One very important component is the printer. If you can't find your printer in this list, you can select one as a template which has similar properties to yours. Maybe, if you are a manufacturer of an FDM 3D printer, we can add your product to this list, just contact us.

UI settings

  • HQ GCode shaders aka. High Quality GCode shaders. CraftWare Pro uses graphical computing extensively to display nice and detailed GCode simulation. However, if your computer is not strong enough to smoothly render the GCode, we recommend to NOT use high quality GCode shaders.
  • UI scale. In case you have a large display with 4k resolution, you may want to set the UI scaling to some higher values to make the text and the icons more readable and visible.
  • Camera control mode. Some may have motion sickness because of the smooth movement of the camera. For them, we made this option to have a normal, non-animated camera movement in CraftWare Pro.
  • Start on Prepare page. In most workflows, you no longer want to modify your model in CW Pro, but slice it immediately. For this reason, we've added an option so you can start immediately on the Prepare page anytime you start the application.
