Introduction

The "Orientation tool" will try to find the best possible orientation of the model considering the use of as little support structures as possible while maintaining the quality of the model.

Automatic orientation

Specifying the minimum slope, this function will try to calculate the best orientation for the selected model. The slope is the threshold for the surfaces that needs to be supported if it is sliced later.

It takes account the volume of the necessary supports, the printing times, and the optimal build plate connections too.

Manual orientation

You can hover over the surface of your 3D model and by clicking on the surface it will be rotated and snapped to the build platform's surface.
