Introduction

The first step in the 3D printing workflow is to import the models you want to manufacture. It can come from 3D model files originating from various sources or from CraftWare Pro Project Files.

Drag&Drop

You can easily open model files by Drag&Drop into the application window.

Import Model Tool

By clicking the Import Model Tool, or the Open/Import Menu Button an open file dialog is opened. The former will filter for only the supported model file formats, while the latter filters for every supported file formats including projects and configuration files.

Open/Import Menu

The Open/Import Menu functions as a dropdown menu too. You can select dedicated tools for different file types like projects, models, GCodes.

You can access the Recent Files list too, where you can find the recently opened model, project or GCode files.

CraftWare Pro Suports the most common triangulated mesh mode formats:

Mulitple Models

You can always select and import multiple models at once. CraftWare Pro will ask if you want to

  • collect them in one group with a shared coordinate system, so they are moving and arranging sticked together
  • import them separately so they could be arranged independently on the printing bed
