Introduction
Tree view presents a hierarchical view of information. Each item (often called a branch or a node) can have a number of sub-items.

An item can be expanded to reveal sub-items, if any exist, and collapsed to hide sub-items. Tree view is meant to use to select items and/or show their selection state.

Color swatch
A color swatch will show the color of that specific item in the 3D scene.

There are 3 different coloring types:
* Design
* Strategy
* Head

Icons
The icon in front of a tree item name will tell its function or its state, which can be followings:

* Project (on DESIGN page)
* Tray (on PREPARE and GCode pages)
* Group of models
* Open contour
* Perimeter (Model)
* Modifier
* Support
* Pillar

The eye icon is used to show / hide the corresponding model in the 3D view and also include / exclude from the slicing process.

Drag & drop
CraftWare Pro supports drag n' drop feature which can do grouping and un-grouping the items in the tree view. For example, if you drag n' drop an item onto another, then a new group will be created. If you drop an item onto the group item, the dropped one will become the part of the group. If you drop one item from a group, it will leave the group. In case a group would be reduced to one member, then the whole group will be discarded instead.

Context menu
Additionally, tree view items have a context menu, which can be reached by clicking on the tree item using the RIGHT mouse button.

The context menu is explained in details in the next page.
Introduction
The tool ribbon menu is a configurable horizontal menu strip with grouped tools.

Each group has its drop down menu and can be opened. Every individual tool can be pinned/unpinned whose icon will appear/disappear in the ribbon group for simplicity and convenience.

Only a single tool can be active at a given time. Some of the tools act immediately, while others may have further configuration parameters in an additional popup window which will appear, when the given tool is activated.

Whenever the mouse pointer is hovered over a tool icon, a tooltip will be revealed showing the name of the tool.
Introduction
Clicking on the floppy disc icon will directly invoke the save project dialog window, where you can save the project file containing all the models in the scene. Also, there is a dropdown marker for more sophisticated functions, like exporting a specific model from the scene.

Exporting
Export model function is a premium feature. Export all will export all models even if they aren't selected, while Export selected will export only the selected models.

Direct upload
Uploading Gcode to CraftBot Flow 3D printers is possible without saving to disc.

Supported Model Formats
CraftWare Pro Suports the most common triangulated mesh mode formats:
* 3mf (3D Manufacturing Format)
* stl (Binary and ASCII Stereolithography File)
Introduction
The title bar of the software is available all the time, it contains shortcuts the essential functionalities you will need to use throughout your workflow.

Main buttons
On the left side you can find the main buttons of the software, separated into 4 groups:

*About: This group contains the CraftBot logo button, which has the following functionalities:

* Project and file operations: Using this group you can create a new project, and load/save projects, models and G-codes. The load and save buttons work with projects mostly, but using the arrow next to them, a context menu can be used to specify what you’d like to work with:

* Undo/Redo: Using these arrows you can undo or redo any actions you’ve made.

* Settings: The last group contains a button which opens up the software settings where you can adjust many preferences according to your needs.

Project name
Next to the main buttons you can see a text. This is the name of the project you are currently working on.

Page selector
At the center of the title bar there are the main page selector. Here you can quickly switch between different workspace types.

*DESIGN for previewing, analyzing and modifying/repairing the models in the project.
*PREPARE for setting up the printing hardware, placing your models on build plate(s) and adjusting the slicer settings.
*GCODE for analyzing the slicer results, and save or transfer it directly to a printer.

Login menu
The next item is the menu button for signing into your CraftBot account.

If you have a Premium or Enterprise license, it will be activated after login.

Program version name
The last item is the software name with a version number and a release identification text.

This item is useful to identify the exact software version, for example when reporting a bug, or trying to find information about a feature which could behave differently in different versions.

System buttons
These buttons are the system window handling buttons you are most probably familiar with.

Note that on some operating systems these will look differently and their placement may differ also, according to the operating system in use.

In the slicer configurator, you can tweak every strategies' parameters which will be used during slicing.

Create new strategy
You have three different way to create a new strategy

* Creating it with the strategy wizard The Strategy Wizard is an easy way to create a highly customized and well tailored strategy for unique requirements too. Just click the '+' button!
* Duplicate an existing strategy If one of the existing strategies almost fulfil your needs, and seems like a good starting point for your new strategy, or you just want to try something while keeping your existing strategies safe, the duplicated strategy is the best choice. You can access it via the duplicate strategy button.
* Convert a Special Strategy If the configured Easy or Smart type strategy is almost right for you but you need to turn off, or on a feature, or change something that is not provided there, you can convert them to an Expert Strategy and tweak them according to your needs.

Delete Strategy
Strategy Types
Smart Strategy Type
Smart Strategy is a Strategy especially aiming the beginner users. By only specifying the requirements against the printing result, the CraftWare Pro generates the proper set of parameters under the hood. There is no need for domain specific knowledge or extended 3D printing experience. It is capable to create the most suitable results without any understanding of the 3D printing process. You can read more here and here!

Easy Strategy Type
Easy strategy provides a small set of intuitive controls to alter the slicer settings.

Easy Strategy is a Strategy especially aiming the intermediate users. By only specifying few of the most important printing properties you can have influence on a great deal of printing parameters under the hood. A basic FDM printing knowledge is enough a fairly wide and flexible control over the slicing process.
Expert Strategy Type
Switching to the "Default" strategy, there will be more parameters to fine tune.

The default strategy reveals parameter overrides where you can have much finer control over the slicing process. You can setup your very own rules here too.

Expert Strategies are Strategies especially aiming the advanced users. You can access more than 24000 parameters via a dynamically constructed User Interface that can be tailored flexibly for your needs. It gives you a full depth control over the slicing process.

Introduction
Using the printer configurator you can select and configure your printer and all of its components and the filaments. The selected and configured printer and filaments have great influence on the result of the slicing process and the generated GCode. The slicer engine uses the available parameters rules and overrides coming from the printing environment and generates the most suitable GCode based on them.

General usage
Cogwheel icon
By clicking on the cogwheel icon, the application will take you to the related settings of the particular item.

Selector Dropdowns
Every Selector shows the available instances of that type of component. There is an extra permanent item at the bottom of the menu to create a new instance (of printer, filament, etc.)

Printer Selector
With the help of the Printer Selector you can select the active printer that you want to target your GCode. Selecting a printer updates the whole panel, and recalls the last configuration with filament selection. It also updates the 3D View with the new build volume and printer models.

Printing Mode Selector
Custom printer modes are possible to implement and every custom printing mode can interfere with the slicer engine. It is suitable to configure custom printer modes like:
* Fast/Draft Modes: High acceleration and speed modes
* Stealth Modes: Low vibration S-Curved, low acceleration mode for better results
* Other general purpose printing modes: Special mode that changes the printer environment's behaviour.

This parameter offers extra printing modes for dual extruder printers.

* Default (available for all printer types)
* Dual head (only for printers with dual extruder)
* Backup (only for printers with dual extruder)
** CraftBot Flow printers have a mechanism to detect filament jam. In this case, if the problem cannot be resolved by the printer itself, it will utilize the secondary head and it will finish the print with that.
* Mirror (only for printers with independent dual extruder)
** CraftBot Flow IDEX printers have independent extuders, so it is possible to print a mirrored version of the main object using the secondary extruder.
* Parallel (only for printers with independent dual extruder)
** With dual printing, you can print the same object in the same time.

Bed Selector
With the bed selector you can easily change the selected bed if you have more interchangeable type. This helps you handle the optimal build plate adhesion, printing areas and bed offsets automatically.

Head Configurator
The Head Configurator handles the list of the physical or virtual heads available in the printer up to 32 heads. Every head can possess an own extruder (even with different nozzle diameter) and an own filament.

The colour of the icon in the header reflects the head filament's colour for the easier identification.

Extruder Selector
You can select the currently selected head's extruder.

Filament Selector
You can select the currently selected head's filament from the available list.

Temperature shortcuts
In Craftware Pro, the actual filament dictates the temperature it needs to be printed with. For this reason Print temperature and Bed temperature are shortcuts to the selected filament's temperature requirements.

Automatic orientation
Specifying the minimum slope, this function will try to calculate the best orientation for the selected model. The slope is the threshold for the surfaces that needs to be supported if it is sliced later.

It takes account the volume of the necessary supports, the printing times, and the optimal build plate connections too.

Manual orientation
Introduction
Multi Tray projects are essential for the project based printing experience. In contrast of printer or object based projects it allows the you to easily manage complex multipart projects, simultaneously manufactured timelines and load distribution between your printers.

With the "Add tray" tool, you can simply add a new tray of the selected printer and enter the realm of the multi-tray projects. Only one kind of build plate is allowed at this time, but you can have as many as you want. The objects that you have in your projects are arrangeable onto the trays.

You will see your Trays in the project Manual/UserInterface/Treeview and can switch between them.

This is useful, if you have a large project with multiple objects which would not fit on a single build tray.

The Slice process will generate multiple GCodes that you can export at once and print after each other or simultaneously.
Introduction
The transformation tools will help you positioning your models and modify their orientation and size if required. But before explaining this in detail, it is good to know that the pivot point can be modified, so the transformation will happen around the selected pivot point. By default the pivot point will be the center of the bounding box of your selected objects. The 3 mayor transfomation tools have common features like Auto drop and Auto apply.

Auto drop

If auto drop is activated, and when you move your model along XY plane it will automatically drop the object onto the base platform.

Auto apply

If auto apply is turned on, then the transformation will be applied automatically when you finished that certain transformation.

Move tool
Using the move tool, you can move your object along the 3 main axes by dragging one of the arrows. Also, it is possible to move the object arbitrary on major planes by dragging the small colored rectangles. Additionally the objects can be moved on the plane perpendicular to the camera view vector by dragging the outermost circle with the arrows pointing outside.

Snapping

Using the move tool, you objects can be snapped to another objects. This feature can be turned off to move your objects freely in the 3D scene.

Rotate tool
Objects can be rotated around the 3 main axes. Bringing the mouse inside the dial indicator during rotation will result in snapping to angles behavior, however, moving the mouse outside of the dial indicator will result in a free rotation.

Snapping

Rotation angle snap can be changed in the parameters window.

Scale tool
Lets you scale your objects along the 3 main axes. Also, metric scaling can be turned on to specify dimensions exactly. Scaling can be uniform and non-uniform as well. Mirroring your object can be done using the scale tool as well.

General transformation tool
We provide all the basic transformation tools combined in one single one. The result is a more complex transformation gizmo around the object, but like this, the transformation functions can be reached much faster.

Align faces tool
Align faces tool will snap one object's face onto another using rotation and move. You will have to pick a source and a target face from two separate models. As soon as both pickings is done the selected source model will be rotated and moved to the target model in a way that their selected faces will be coincident.
After creating the primitive object it will be selected and the General transformation tool will be activated.

Cuboid
In geometry, a cuboid is a hexahedron, a six-faced solid.
You can modify the followings: Width, Length, Height

IcoSphere
Creates a sphere using triangle faces. It's radius and the subdivisions can be changed. You can modify the following parameters: Radius, Subdivision

Cylinder
Creates a simple cylinder where you can specify the Base vertices count, Height and the cylinder's Radius. With a click of a switch, the cylinder can be turned into a Tube. After doing so, you can specify the Inner radius, aka. hole radius.

Cone
Creates a special cylinder where the top part is collapsed in the vertical axis. Radius, Height and the Base vertices can be specified.

Platonic solid
Using this tool, you can create the following types of solid primitives:

* Tetrahedron
* Octahedron
* Dodecahedron
* Icosahedron
* Hexahedron

Besides the solid type, the Side length can be specified.

Prism
This tool can create a prism by specifying its Height, Side length and its Base vertices count.

Pyramid
This tool can create a pyramid by specifying its Height, Side length and its Base vertices count.
Introduction
Object tools are used for adding or removing, grouping or ungrouping models.

Import model tool
Import model tool is a shortcut to the file menu's import model function.

Delete tool
Delete tool is used to delete objects from the scene.

Rectangle selection
This is a basic rectangle selection tool which selects the back faces too. Holding down the LEFT mouse button while doing the rectangle selection, the selected faces will be added to the object's selection. However, deselection the faces can be achieved by holding the RIGHT mouse button while marking the faces.

Group tool
The group tool can be used to group selected items. Grouped items will share the same coordinate system, which means transformations will be applied to them as they would be a single object.

Ungroup tool
Ungroup tool does the opposite of the group tool. It will turn the object within into individual ones, no longer sharing the same coordinate system.

Pattern tool
Pattern tool will let you multiply your objects along the 3 main axes. Distance can be specified between patterned objects.
There are four different distance types.

* Spacing, which is simply the distance between the patterned objects.
* Distance, which is the distance between the beginning of the objects.
* Inclusion Extent, the whole available space for all the patterned items. It will fit all of the items into this distance from the beginning of the first element until the end of the last one.
* Extent, this distance type will fit the beginning of the first element and the beginning of the last one into the specified distance.

Using the pattern tool, the items can be created in a group, so they will share a common coordinate system. Additionally, the pattern tool is good if you want to create stacked prints.

Introduction
During 3D printing, sometimes it is useful if we can pause our print process and do some tweaks/adjusments, for example, changing filament because we need to continue with a different color, or place nuts into the print, so we won't need to cut threads into the plastic.

Usage
To use this tool, we have to activate it in the "Info panels" group. Using the layer slider on the right of the screen, we have to find the actual height where we want to have our layer pause command to be executed during print. Clicking the "plus" button will add a new layer pause with a default name. This name can be modified and most printers will display this name when print reaches the pause command. Once we have an existing layer pause command, we can remove it with the "minus" button. Also, note that when a pause command is placed, there will be visual indicators (planes) of its existence in the 3D scene, and also, in the layer height slider.
Introduction
By default the whole GCode is visible in the GCode page. Our GCode simulator offers numerous ways to inspect the critical parts only.

Layer Navigation
The Layer Range Slider in the right side of the window helps you navigate between layers:
*Two handles allow you to select an arbitrary layer range or one particular layer
*You can lock these handles together to examine a fixed number of layers with a movable window
*You can explicitly input a layer number into the layer textboxes
*After selecting the handle or the layer textbox, keyboard layer navigation is available via arrows and navigation keys (Home, End, Page Down, Page Up)

Line/Command Navigation
With the Command Slider you can examine each line/command inside the current layer.

When you are navigating inside the layer, only the active layer will keep its colouring and every visible layer below it will be greyed out.

The direct number input and the textbox navigation works as same as with the Layer Range Slider.

* The current command line can be seen in the GCode Panel.
* The head statistics after the current command line can be seen in the Extruder Statistics Panel.

Extrusion width
Coloring by extrusion width, shows how wide each segment type is.

Extrusion thickness
Coloring by extrusion thickness is better visualized from the side or front views. You can see that this sphere requires finer resolutions at overhangs or terraces. The slicer engine will automatically adapt the extrusion thicknesses where required in order to avoid using support structures.

Introduction
These set of functions will help in better visualization of the GCode.

Show top layer only
As its name implies, only the top layers will be shown and the printed segment of the object below it. This is useful if you want to inspect a particular layer. In case of older computers it helps to reduce the GPU workload too.
Please be aware that if you load a GCode without model, there will be no model under the layer.

Show model outlines
Turning on this function will result in displaying the original 3D model displayed transparently over the GCode. It's great to check the relation between the model and the printed object. Examine which features, details are omitted from the print due the physical restriction of the printing technology.

GCode top roundness
Helps in visualizing the GCode segments by adding a rounded look to them. This is not an on/off state feature, but it has four different roundnesses starting from completely flat to completely round. By clicking on its icon multiple times, it will cycle through all these states.

GCode contour
Gives a contour to all the GCode segments making them less homogeneous, so it helps highlight the outlines.

Without a artificial contour the view is more photorealistic but it is harder to recognize the distinct extrusion segments.

Show travels
Shows all the travel movements of the print head, where no extrusion happening.

Introduction
These set of tools can be used for surface selection and manipulation.

Below, the image shows how the surface selection is represented. As you can see, there is a new child entry in the tree view as part of the object which owns this selection. Also, the model's triangles are colored to show the selection.

Magic wand surface selection
By clicking on a surface of a model, this tool will try to select adjacent faces based on the criteria of the angle between the adjacent surface and the selected one. If this angle is below the threshold, the face will be selected. The selection method can be absolute iteration which means the angle will be compared to the selected face, while relative iteration will compare the last successful selection with the new candidate.

Brush surface selection
With the help of this tool you can select faces of a 3D mesh within a specified circular range. The selection will occur when the selection indicator reaches the center of the triangle face.

Rectangular surface selection
2D projection of a rectangle onto the 3D mesh will specify a bounding box for selection. The selection criteria can be "Any Vertex" if the rectangle selection bounding box contains at least one vertex of the triangle face, then it will be selected. This behavior may be too greedy, so you can use "All vertices" as selection mode. All the three vertices of a triangle face must fall withing the bounds of the rectangle to be selected. And lastly, with "Centroid" the face will be selected if the rectangle contains center point of the given triangle.

Surface displacer
With the surface displacer tool, you can move, rotate and/or scale the selected triangle faces.

Surface eraser
Using this tool, you can erase the selected triangle faces.

Surface smoother
Using this tool you can smooth/flatten the selected set of triangle faces. With "Preserve boundary" this operation won't modify the boundary of the selection. The number of steps/iterations can be changed and this tool can be used successively multiple times to get an even smoother/flatter surface.

Bisect
Bisect tool is used to divide models into two parts specified by a cutting plane. There is an option to close holes where the cut happened. You can decide which parts to keep after the bisect operation. The upper part is where the blue arrow lives, basically, the top of the cutting plane.

Decompose options:
* Cut
* Split
* Half
* Parts

Keep part options:
* Upper
* Lower
* Both

Emboss
Embossing and debossing are the processes of creating either raised or recessed relief designs using the selected triangle faces. The distance can be positive (emboss) or negative (deboss)

Introduction
The DESIGN page is mainly used for model manipulation and repair. There are many faulty 3D models with holes in it circulating on the net. CraftWare Pro can fix these kind of errors and you can do this on the DESIGN page. Also, for example, if you want to remove a logo from a 3D model, it is possible to do.

Introduction
The context menu can be revealed, by clicking the RIGHT mouse button over an item in the tree view. Depending on the page selected the context menu will offer a limited set of choices.

Group / Un-group
The first two options in the context menu is grouping and un-grouping selected items in the tree view.

Cut, copy, paste, rename, delete
These basic functions can be accessed from the context menu too. Additionally keyboard shortcuts are active here, like: CTRL+X, CTRL+C, CTRL+V

Fit to screen
This function will position the camera in a way that all the selected items will occupy the largest area possible of the screen.

Strategy
The assigned strategy of a model can be changed in the context menu too.

Role
The following roles can be set to a model:

* Perimeter
* Modifier
* Support
* Pillar

Head
Here you can select the print head for a specific model, or let the strategy decide which print head to use.
Introduction
View settings will help in visualization. Sometimes it is useful to modify the appearance of the objects in the scene, or even modify the camera's field of view.

Camera projection & FOV
Camera field of view (FOV) can be changed using the mouse wheel on the perspective/orthographic icon. By clicking on this icon the projection will toggle between orthographic and perspective.

View modes
Depending on the actual page selected, different view settings may be available.

Grid
Grid will turn on/off the 3D scene view's ground grid pattern.

Wireframe
Wireframe turns on/off the loaded 3D model's edges.

Bed, printer, extruder model
Bed, Printer model can be turned on/off in the Manual/UserInterface/PreparePage. It will show the actual printer's 3D model if available. The extruder model only available in the Manual/UserInterface/GCodePage.

HQ Gcode
High Quality Gcode is available in the Manual/UserInterface/GCodePage. Older computers with less graphical computing power should NOT use HQ Gcode to enhance visual smoothness while navigating in the Gcode page.

UI Scale
CraftWare Pro has its own UI scaling technique. Using the slider you can scale up/down the UI components.

Introduction
We will cover the simple navigation of CraftWare Pro using the mouse and keyboard.

Zoom
Using the mouse wheel, the camera will move in the direction of the mouse pointer. When this happens, the camera endpoint or pivot point will be placed to the surface of the 3D model. After this whenever you rotate the camera, then it will revolve around this pivot point. Zooming is also possible using the keyboards numeric pad + and - keys.

Rotate
Holding down the LEFT mouse button and moving the mouse is rotation. The pivot point of the rotation can be changed by pointing the mouse to a surface and using a wheel even a tiny bit, it will relocate the (invisible) pivot point.

Pan
Holding down the RIGHT mouse button and moving the mouse is panning. Panning will cause the pivot point to move as well. Panning is also possible using the arrow keys on your keyboard.

Look around
Holding down CTRL and the LEFT mouse button while moving the mouse will look around in the scene, using the camera as the pivot point.
